Hello, my name is Trent Bennett.  I have a ton of nicknames, I lost count...... so feel free to create a nickname if you feel so inclined.  I am 17 years old, and I have two older brothers, one younger brother, and one younger sister.  One brother just returned from his mission in the McCallen, Texas area, and the other one is almost finished with his mission in the Columbia, South Carolina area.  I am somewhere around six foot, six foot one.  At the moment, I am pretty skinny, but in my spare time I enjoy working out (lifting and running with my brother), reading, and hanging out with friends.  I love to laugh - life would be dull without laughter.  Sometimes I will be shy and quiet but at other times I am outspoken and anything but quiet...depends on my mood I guess.  Oh, also I might be considered a band geek, as I play tenor saxophone at school...Haha.  Often I think people don't really get to know me, but I think if you do, you'll find out there is much more to me that you think.  But anyways, on the side I work and keep up in schoolwork.  I work as a lifeguard at the Green River Recreation Center, but the pool is currently shut down indefinitely for renovations and updates to legal requirements.  Also, I am an upcoming Senior at Green River High School, and I work hard for my education (I currently have a 4.0).  Last year I took a class during the summer online through WWCC and during the school year I took another outside of my regular schedule.  This summer, I will be reading like crazy, studying up for the ACT testing, and soon will be learning more Spanish with my brother who just returned from his mission and speaks fluent Spanish. I am hopeful that I will be able to learn much.  My education is very important to me and in the future I plan on leading a successful career in order to support my family and hopefully be able to enjoy my work.  I have no clue what I will major in college but right now I am pondering going into one of : neurology, cognitive sciences, neurosurgery, linguistics or law.  At the moment I am most interested in University of Utah, but that could easily change, I am sure.  Buy anyways, I am excited for the Trek and hope to et to know everyone better this summer!       Trent

Hi, my name is Gloria Morin and I am 16 but will be 17 on this Thursday, June 11th.  Next year I will be a Senior in high school.  I do cross country every fall, and that means I like to run long distances, the kind of running that most people don't like.  I love music and theatre, so if you put them together then you have musical theatre!  I love that too!  This summer I'm doing the musical, Seussical Jr.  It is a summer show for kids from 4th grade through high school.  I've been doing these summer musicals since about age 10 and they're one of my most favorite things to do.  I also like to play the piano and sing.  I like to read books, such as twilight.  For a summer job I work at the greenhouse, Riverside Nursery, and it's a lot of fun!  I'm really excited for the trek and can't wait to get to know you guys better!  And just so you know, my nickname is Glo.

This is Breanna Ellsworth - Breanna will be a Sophmore this coming year. She is quite a sportswoman playing volleyball and basketball. Her hair is always the latest fashion and color.
She is softspoken, but has a great smile. She is a great friend to some of our less active girls and brings them to church with her often.

Allison Northcott is Miss Spunky. She is always dependable and completes all assignments given her. Allison is also a great basketball player but is suffering from a shoulder injury and is having to keep her arm in a sling and not participate right now. This is probably quite discouraging for her. She is great at making friends and will bring lots of fun to our family group.

I am hoping that you have all had a chance to check out our blog and are thinking about how to add your information. Since two of our family members are from Manilla I just happen to have pictures of them so I thought I would add their pictures and tell you a little bit about them. They will have to fill in what they would like you to know about themselves.

Anxious to hear from all of you. Momma T

Dear"Children",
I am very excited for this adventure we are preparing to have.  I hope all of you are working to earn your "Finding JOY in the journey" award, not for the award but for the spiritual growth we will gain by preparing for this journey.  I have learned so much from reading the journals written by the very faithful saints in who's footsteps we will follow.  If you have already had a special experience in your preparation I hope you will share it with us on this blog.

Since I am your designated "Ma" I will tell you a little about myself.  First I would ask use to call me Momma T instead of Ma.  A few years ago when my girls were in High School and I worked with all of their friends as the High School librarian and Drama coach, they wanted to call me something not as formal as Mrs. or Sister Draper but not as casual as my first name Teresa so they dubbed me "Mother Teresa" but that was soon shortened to Momma T and that stuck, so if you feel comfortable with that, so do I.
My father was a B-52 navigator in the USAF and we moved often when I was a child.  I went to school in Washington, Texas, California, New Mexico, California again and finally when I was a senior in High School, my father was transfered to Hill Air Force Base in Utah.  I graduated from BYU in Dance.  I married a Utah boy and my husband and I have also traveled around quite a bit, not by plan but just by circumstance.  I had my first child in the Virgin Islands where we were working for a resort on St. John, USVI.  We spent a couple of years in Utah Valley but since then have lived in Georgia, Wyoming, Minnesota, Arizona, Utah and Alaska.  We spent approximately 10 years in Alaska living in several different communities from a small fishing village to a coastal tourist community.
While living in the fishing village there was no organized church unit so we held all of our meetings in our home, including seminary and choir practice.  It is a highlight memory for our family.  I have six children, three boys and three girls and a gaggle of grandchildren.
I like almost everything and am willing to try "almost" anything.  Music was an important part of my childhood and I made it an important part of my children's lives.  I have done a lot of theatre, starting out as a choreographer, musical director and the past few years have included directing.  I enjoy photography, gardening, quilting, golfing, sailing, traveling and crafty things.
I love the earth that Heavenly Father created for our use and am very grateful to have had the privilege of living in and exploring so many areas.
I look forward to hearing all about each of you and getting to know you better as we follow those who made it possible for the gospel to grow and flourish on this earth.   Momma T
(I have a new computer and this was the only picture of me on this computer but it is me so I guess that will suffice)
